Covid shopping:
Lowes was madness. Props to them putting pipe foam around the edges of the plastic shields. People think social distancing in lines means it doesn’t matter that they’re blocking anyone from attempting to walk by.
Ventured to a Joann's fabric and while the store is massive, only 10 at a time. Waiting outside was hot and wearing a mask is even hotter. But I will say a mask + sunglasses is a fun anonymity feeling. Also wtf is fabric so expensive? Headboard project will kick off soon. Surely the IT guy that knows electrical and used to do blacksmithing can figure out doing fabric.

The trick with Joann’s (and Michaels) is the stuff is always on sale if you sign up for their email list. They jack up the prices to gouge people who just wander in. I miss the days of independent fabric stores.

The new thing is discarded latex gloves on the ground everywhere. I hate it when people wear a mask, but leave their noses uncovered. So. Stupid. I mean, if you forgo the mask altogether, but stay more than six feet from me, I guess I don’t have much of a claim. But if you’re sharing a space with me and wearing a mask and not covering your nose with it, then you are a farkling moron and I have zero patience.

Honestly, I don’t even know any more. Walmart is at least cheap and I sometimes get decent fabric pieces at the thrift store. Everywhere I used to shop has gone out of business.

I discovered that mask + sunglasses + hat = years off your age, apparently. Its been at least a couple years since I was last carded at a liquor store.
